So I went to Walgreens to buy something so I could get my bonus points. Really good marketing because I want to get my points so I go buy when I dont need something! The benefit though is that I discover products that I would have never bought or never heard of or never seen. On my last Walgreens visit I purchased Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strenghten & Grow Shampoo.
I can't believe this I had been missing out on this great product. I have really dry, burnt, brittle, thin hair. I straighten my hair everyday as it is curly and not the cute curly, but the curly that looks like I just woke up no matter what I do. My hair is always hard and rough. Since I started using this shampoo my hair feels soft. Usually when I straighten my hair, my hair is rough, but now it feels soft and manageable. It does not feel like it is damaged or burnt. Even when I do not straighten my hair now it looks soft and my curls look bouncy!
This shampoo as stated on the bottle was specially created to bring relief to damaged, brittle, over processed and color treated hair. Straightening, perming or any other style treatment which uses heat, drains hair of natural moisture leaving your curls or coils dry, brittle and prone to breakage.
I have issues growing my hair and this shampoo is fortified with Jamaican Black Castor Oil which is rich in essential fatty acids that nourish the scalp and stimulates hair follicles and encourages hair growth. The castor oil also helps streghten my weak hair! Now I do not have to be applying any heavy oils on my hair to try to make it grow. That is why actually I do not put castor oil on my hair. I tried once and it weighted down my hair, but in this shampoo the castor oil does not weigh down the hair. Matter of fact it provides volume.
This shampoo also is mixed with Peppermint, Apple Cider Vinegar, which help remove product build up from your hair, and Shea Butter that helps to hydrate hair.
This shampoo cost 10.99 at Walgreens, sometimes they have the buy one, get one half price special. Very well worth the price.
